Metsec's Framing Systems

Metsec's Site Fixed Framing Systems (SFS) Division and Metframe Divison developed and now lead the market when it comes to light gauge, galvanised steel structural framing systems suitable for a wide range of applications in most sectors of construction.

SFS and Metframe

Our two systems are SFS - a fast track steel stud panel framing system which is fixed as infill between the main structural frame members and provides a carrier for insulation, exterior cladding and interior wallboard and Metframe – a pre-panelised steel building frame system that is fabricated off-site and assembled on-site with concrete floors providing a complete superstructure.

Both steel framing systems offer pre-engineered off-site fabrication in line with the demands of Modern Methods of Construction and are structurally proven and independently tested to provide thermal, acoustic and fire resistance.

Site Fixed Steel Framing Systems(SFS)

Our Site Fixed Steel Framing System SFS is a versatile fast track building system manufactured from lightweight, cold roll formed galvanised steel sections which are screwed together on site.

This system is ideal for projects where the speed of construction and / or a lightweight frame is crucial. The stud size, spacing and anchorage are all determined by floor-to-floor heights, deflection criteria and lateral wind pressures.
