Using a cradle support system of lightweight steel lattice beams and inflated tubing is providing a fast and cost effective alternative to replacing deflected flat roofs.

These roofs, constructed from a type of pre-1980 reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) roofing plank, are suffering from long term excessive deflection and cracking which could ultimately result in failure.

Metsec and H and H Property Management have developed a patented roof cradle system which acts as a supporting sub-grid for the RAAC planks. This avoids the need to re-roof and all the associated disruption that re-roofing causes.
